January 4-5, 2025, Hunan Plant Extracts Association 2024 Annual Meeting and the 15th Phytoextracts Forum and the 4th Plant Extracts Innovative Products Exhibition was held in Hunan International Convention and Exhibition Centre - Hunan St. Jennifer's Hotel.
There were more than 100 exhibitors at the meeting, the venue was crowded and the atmosphere was warm, which fully demonstrated the line-up and strength of the ‘Phytoextracts Xiangjun’, and provided opportunities for face-to-face negotiation for phytoextracts enterprises. With the theme of ‘Cooperation - Development - Win-Win’, the event aims to build a global communication platform for the plant extract industry, promote the exchange of information and co-operation across the industry, and realise the healthy and high-quality development of the plant extract industry in Hunan Province. The event attracted more than 1,000 plant extract counterparts, representatives of upstream and downstream enterprises, universities and research institutes, academicians and experts to participate in the meeting.

The 15th Plant Extracts Forum was held in Hunan International Convention and Exhibition Centre on 5th January. China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Medicines and Health Products (CCCHP) Director of the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Yu Zhibin, kicked off the forum with the theme of ‘Difficulties and Transformation of the Plant Extract Industry’. Subsequently, experts and scholars from various universities and research institutes, enterprises around the standardised production of plant extracts, medicinal and food plant extracts in health food and the application of daily-use chemicals, plant extracts as a large health raw materials, standardised production, plant extracts export challenges and opportunities and plant extracts in the international market, effective marketing strategies and other topics for a special report.
It is learnt that there are more than 230 plant extract-related enterprises in Hunan Province, including 125 manufacturers and 162 with import and export qualifications.In 2024, the annual output value of plant extracts in Hunan Province will be about RMB 8.9 billion, and the export value will be about USD 600 million.
